Stewart College offers you a choice between Power and Academic English. Both courses accept students of all levels.
Power English is the Stewart College general English program focused on improving fluency.
Academic English is an intensive English program which you should take if you want to go to an English-speaking school or take a standardized English test such as IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge (FCE, CAE, etc.)
In the Global Citizen Certificate you will use your English to improve the world around you, developing transferable work skills, and confidence using English to communicate important ideas. You’ll learn about the culture of volunteering, and how it improves your ability to get a job. The course is focused on active English: you will use English in a community fundraising project; give presentations; volunteer in the local community; write a blog; and meet local Canadians.
Follow your passion and take a healthy challenge by studying English with a focus on nutrition and health, in Victoria BC—the city Full of Life. Successful graduates of the full program have the skills needed to pursue further education in Nutrition and Health, and you will expand your knowledge of food, diet, health and exercise.
Do you want to move beyond English education, and into a field of your choice? Through Academic English and the support of Stewart College staff, we can help you reach your goals through our Pathway Partner programs.
